April 17, 2010 CHILDREN’S CHOICE BOOK AWARDS Hi everyone! I’m so excited I could scream!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEE! That was me screaming. Dork Diaries: Tales From a Not-So-Fabulous Life (YES, my personal diary!) has been nominated as a finalist for the 2010 Children’s Choice Book Awards. And, get this!! Kids from all over get to vote to select the winners. Not teachers. Not parents. Not librarians. IT’S KIDS ONLY! Now, how COOL is THAT! Do you want to participate and Rock the Vote? I thought so. Here’s what you need to do: Copy and paste the link below to get to the Children’s Choice Book Awards voting web page. Then, scroll down the page a bit until you see the 4 orange boxes with grade levels on them. Next, click on your grade level in school. Then, select your favorite book, author and illustrator. For the final step, click on the “Submit Vote” button at the bottom of the page. That’s it! My book, Dork Diaries, is a finalist in the 5th/6th grade division. Can you believe it?!
