OMG I think I’m going to fall over!! I am just SO tired today!
Getting through the school day was like running uphill in the desert wearing five-inch heels. I mean, I seriously thought I was going to pass out in almost every class!
Last night I stayed up super late. I had a TON of homework, which was totally lame! But I also was just kind of messing around online until late at night…well, early, really. I mean we’re talking AM hours!
It all started because I really didn’t feel like doing my homework, so I procrastinated by reading blogs, watching YouTube videos, and looking for sites that do virtual makeovers.
(I wanted to see what I’d look like with totally different hair…like an afro or long red curls!)
Before I knew it, it was midnight and I STILL didn’t finish my homework!
I fell asleep a couple times while finishing it up, and I accidentally drooled all over some of it.
Then in school today, I had a math test, and that was pretty much a nightmare! I was SO tired that the test looked all blurry. And my eyelids felt super heavy, like there were tiny but INSANELY HEAVY bricks weighing them down.
My teacher was like, “Eyes on your own test Ms. Maxwell!”
I wasn’t trying to cheat or anything! I was just fluttering my eyes around so I wouldn’t collapse in exhaustion on my desk!
I’m pretty sure I got like a 20 on that test. Dangit!!!
Then during lunch, when I was waiting in line to get my food, I kind of fell asleep…standing up! The line in front of me was moving, but I was standing there, holding up traffic!
So this random kid I don’t know was like, “Move it or lose it!”
What does that even mean anyway??
Chloe and Zoey were like, “You should go take a nap in the janitor’s closet! We’ll come get you after lunch!”
I mean, it’s totally sweet that they’re always looking out for me, but I think I’d rather sleep in a bikini on a park bench in the winter than curl on the floor next to a skuzzy old mop!
At one point when I was at my locker, MacKenzie said, “You look HORRIBLE today! What, were you up late talking to your dad about bugs??”
Um, yeah, that’s something I do all the time…pull all nighters to learn about the mating habits of cockroaches!
So I was like, “It’s not that I look horrible. It’s just that you’re looking at me through UGLY EYES!!” Except I said it in my head so no one heard it but me!
I was SO psyched when I got home from school today. I pretty much crawled to my bed…that was how tired I was!
I daydreamed of my bed literally all day, and then guess what happened when I got under the covers?
Brianna ran in my room singing! Her voice seriously sounded like nails down a chalkboard!
At first I was like, “OH MY GOD MAKE IT STOP!!”
But then she came over and kissed me on the cheek and said, “We love you!”
Yup, both Brianna and her hand friend Miss Penelope love me…even when I’m cranky and tired!
You know when you’re SO tired that you just can’t sleep? That’s what happened after she left my room. So I’m thinking I’ll just go to sleep super early tonight.
But I need to come up with some good ways to get through the day, in case I’m ever exhausted like this again!! What do YOU do when you’re really tired in school??
