This weekend I had a TON of awesome plans with Chloe and Zoey! We were planning to go to the beach, ride bikes, see a movie AND have a sleepover.
Sounds awesome right? It totally would have been if I didn’t get in a HUGE fight with Brianna on Friday.
I was watching some Tyra clips on YouTube, including this one when she FLIPPED out on America’s Top Model. OMG there was like a vein BULGING in her head!
Brianna got all up in my personal space, wagging her finger in my face, and she was like, “I’m not touching you! I’m not touching you!”
I told her I’d play with her and Miss Penelope in an hour, but she was like, “OK! I’ll just wait here…NOT TOUCHING YOU!”
She technically WASN’T touching me, but her dirty little finger was so close to my face that I could bite her finger if I moved just an inch.
And it kind of smelled like glue. I seriously hope she wasn’t eating it or anything…though that would explain a lot about why she is how she is!!
I was just about to get up and leave the room, when I sneezed…ALL over Brianna’s finger.
You’d think I blew snot all over it….that’s how FREAKED out she got! So of course she started crying. And not just a few little tears…they were like, someone just stole her doll, pushed her off her bike, and threatened to kill Miss Penelope tears!
My mom ran in the room to see what the commotion was.
We were both trying to talk at the same time, with Brianna crying, saying I “germed her up” and me complaining about her dirty, glue-smelling finger.
Finally Mom yelled, “Enough!”
Then she said the worst thing she could possibly have said: “You girls need to learn to get along better. I think you need a FULL weekend together!”
I totally panicked! I had all those awesome plans already…there was NO way I wanted to cancel them all to play dress up with Brianna and her imaginary friend.
(Every time she FLIPS out because her Disney Princess dresses won’t fit on Miss Penelope. And she HATES it when I tell her that’s because NONE of the princesses are hands!)
Saturday morning totally dragged! I basically sat in the backyard reading magazines while Brianna flopped around in her kiddie pool pretending she was Ariel.
At one point, she practically begged me to come keep her company in the pool. But I didn’t really feel like being nice to her because I was SO mad that she ruined my weekend.
By the afternoon, it was SUPER hot outside, so I caved. Once I got in there, I had this awesome idea…whirlpool! When you’re in a tiny pool, it’s super easy to get a whirlpool going.
You know, it’s when you swim in a circle really fast, and then the water starts going in a circle on its own, so even if you try to swim the other way, you can’t!
Turns out Brianna had never done one before…she was SO excited! She was all giggling and screaming “Weeeee!” while floating around with the current.
Then finally she said, “You’re so fun Nikki. You’re the best sister ever!”
Awww! It was hard to stay mad at her after that. I mean, she was SO excited to hang out with me!
That night, when I was lying down in her blanket fort in the living room, telling her a story, my mom said, “Look at you two! Seems like you had a great day! Nikki, why don’t you tell Chloe and Zoey you can hang out with them tomorrow.”
At first I was PSYCHED! But I looked over and Brianna looked totally bummed.
I know what you’re probably thinking…I did NOT stay home with Brianna on Sunday. I took her out with us instead!
At the time, it seemed like a good idea, but there was ALL kinds of drama!!
Got to run. I’ll tell you all about it on Thursday!
