Hot Chocolate Reindeer Treat

Here’s what you’ll need for the Hot Chocolate Reindeer Treat:

  • Instant Hot Chocolate Mix
  • Miniature White Marshmallows
  • Chocolate Chips (or mint chips)
  • 2 Brown Pipe Cleaners or 2 Candy Canes
  • 2 Googly Eyes (or a Black Sharpie Marker)
  • 1 Red Mini Pom Pom
  • Clear Pastry Piping Bags (each treat needs 2 bags)
  • Twist Ties (each treat needs 2 ties or you can use rubber bands)
  • Low-Temperature Glue Gun and Glue Sticks (or double-sided tape orcraft glue)

Step 1

Add 3⁄4 cups of hot chocolate mix into one pastry piping bag making sure the mix goes all the way to the bottom of the bag.


Step 2

Twist the top of the bag closed and secure it with a twist tie.


Step 3

Cut off the top of the bag just above the twist tie.


Step 4

Place the sealed hot chocolate pastry piping bag into the other bag being sure to line up the side seams of the bags together.


Step 5

Pour 1⁄4 cup of chocolate chips into the pastry piping bag so its next to the sealed hot chocolate bag.


Step 6

Pour 3⁄4 cup of miniature marshmallows into the pastry piping bag so its next to the chocolate chips.


Step 7

Twist the top of the bag closed and secure it with a twist tie.


Step 8

Tie 2 Brown Pipe cleaners around the top of the bag and bend them into the shape of reindeer antlers (or glue on 2 candy canes for the antlers).


Step 9

Glue on 2 Googly Eyes on the side of the bag.


Step 10

Glue on the red pom pom for the Reindeer nose.

Serving Directions:

Place 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips, 3 tablespoons of marshmallows and 3 tablespoons of hot chocolate mix into your favorite mug. Add 1 cup of hot water or milk. Stir, sip and savor!
