I hope you all had an awesome Easter, if you celebrate it! Mine was super fun!
This may be the ONLY time you ever see this on my blog, but Brianna was actually totally cute and sweet to me. (It was so weird…kind of like she was possessed or something!)
In the morning, she knocked on my door. That was the first weird thing. Usually she just runs in screaming, “Out of bed sleepy head!! The Easter Bunny came!!” And then she jumps on my bed like a demonic kangaroo pumped full of sugar and Red Bull.
But instead she was like, “Nikki, are you awake? I have something for you!”
Then she came in carrying a chocolate bunny and a glass of chocolate milk, and said, “I made you breakfast in bed!”
I went to grab the chocolate milk, and then I thought maybe it was some kind of trap…like she might dump the milk on my head, say, “Miss Penelope thought you’d like a chocolate shower!” and then laugh like a twisted little maniac.
But nope! She didn’t do anything bratty. She was actually just being nice!
Maybe she felt bad about her LAME egg prank. Or maybe she realized I am SUCH an awesome sister so she should do stuff for me all the time. (I hope that’s it!)
Later in the day, we were doing this egg hunt thing with my younger cousins. Most of the eggs have coins in them, usually like a quarter or two dimes or whatever. But there are always a few with dollars in them, and one with a five dollar bill.
Brianna found that one inside my Dad’s sweaty, smelly gym bag (you couldn’t pay me enough to touch that nasty thing…it smells like some kind of rodent crawled in there and died!)
For no real reason, she ran over, gave the egg to me, and said, “Here Nikki! Maybe now you can buy an iPhone!”
Forget for a minute that the only apple product you can buy with five bucks is a granny smith. It was still super nice of her!
My dad made this huge brunch for everyone with eggs, ham, waffles, and stuff. Soooo good!!
But the real fun was later at night when Zoey and Chloe came over. We all do our family stuff in the morning and afternoon, so our parents were cool with us hanging out at night.
I did this really awesome Easter nail art for them. I used a bunch of different pastel colors, like yellow, pink, and light green, and then I made sparkly squiggles, so they basically looked like Easter eggs.
After that I asked if they wanted to play Truth or Dare, because I still didn’t know Chloe’s big secret from a couple weeks ago, and it was really killing me!
First I got a dare. (I LOVE dares!) Zoey dared me to run into the living room where my parents were watching TV and randomly do the hokey pokey. I got off pretty easy!
Then it was Chloe’s turn and she asked for truth, which I figured meant she was finally ready to tell us her secret!
Sooo I asked, “What was your big secret!?!?”
Since I’m an awesome friend I’m not going to tell you what it is. Just kidding! She actually said it’s okay to write about it since it’s no big deal.
It turns out she got in a fight with her mom over something stupid, and she just didn’t feel like talking about it.
I totally thought it was this big serious thing…like she was switching schools or something. But nope! What a relief!
So that was my Easter. I still have a ton of chocolate left over, and some bunny cupcakes too. I LOVE holidays!
How was your weekend??
